I am directed by Mr. Secretary MacDonald to

transmit to you a copy of a despatch from the

Governor of Hong Kong, forwarding a return of arms

and ammunition which passed through the Colony in

transit to China during the second half of 1939.

This return is forwarded to the Ministry

at the suggestion of the Foreign Office. I am to

enquire whether the Ministry would desire to see

similar returns in future.
